Panther provides UKPS with an enhanced specialist vehicle capability for high-risk and complex road-based incidents.
Enhanced Vehicle Capability
Panther-trained officers operate within incidents requiring a higher level of specialist driving skill and coordination. Personnel undertaking Panther duties are expected to demonstrate strong judgement, vehicle control and situational awareness. The capability is reserved for appropriately trained and authorised officers and is used where conventional driving resources may not provide the level of operational capability required.
